March 2019 Group Meeting

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 14th March 2019 at St.Augustines Church Hall, Bucklesham Road, Ipswich, IP3 8TH from 7pm - 9pm.

We welcome you to attend our social gathering for people living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, to come together and receive support.  This is an ideal setting for those who may have been newly diagnosed or have pre-diabetes/at risk.  Your family and friends are most welcome to join us too.

If you would like some help getting back on track with managing your diabetes or would like to hear from our guest speaker, this will be a great opportunity for you to pop along.

This month we welcome a representative from the Strategy, Research and Innovation Team, East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust based at Colchester Hospital.  The purpose of their visit is to update the group on the development of the Trust's strategy and to take our views (note taker will be present).  As an active group it would be great to see as many of you present to be able to put your views across.  Small steps can make BIG changes!

The meeting will begin with our AGM which is standard procedure, to enable the present committee to stand for re-election or possibly new persons to join.  This is a great opportunity for you to be part of a local group who are being pro-active with awareness and support.  If being on a committee is not your cup of tea, then maybe being a group support volunteer might be? Do you have a couple of hours to spare a month?  If you are interested in knowing more, please contact the group secretary via the email or mobile number below if you think you can volunteer.  Thank you.

Our meetings are free to attend.  Refreshments will be available.
