- Group News
Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 12th September 2019 at St.Augustines Church Hall, Bucklesham Road, Ipswich, IP3 8TH from 7pm - 9pm.
We welcome you to attend our social gathering for people living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, to come together and find out more about this long term health condition. This is an ideal setting for those who may have been newly diagnosed or have pre-diabetes/at risk. Your family and friends are most welcome to join us too.
If you would like some help getting back on track with managing your diabetes or just for one of us to listen to your concerns, we are here to help.
This month we are delighted to invite guest speaker Tina Pointon, Suffolk User Engagement Lead (east suffolk) from the Suffolk User Forum, a user led mental health charity for East and West Suffolk. Their work focuses on you, and your well-being. They are an inclusive and trusted charity who values your voice above all. Their network promotes and strengthens your voice to create a positive change in independence, choice, and control over your own life.
There will be an opportunity to speak to a specialist nurse from the hospital clinic if you need guidance or help with your diabetes. The group thank them for their continued support as we know their presence at our meetings has made a difference.
Small steps can make BIG changes!
Our meetings are free to attend. Refreshments will be available.
